Senator Leno Responds to ADHC Settlement Announcement

November 17, 2011

SACRAMENTO – Senator Mark Leno (D-San Francisco) today released this statement regarding the settlement reached between the Brown Administration and community groups advocating for clients who use Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) Services:

“I am grateful that the Administration and Disability Rights California were able to agree upon a new community-based adult services program that cares for this important and vulnerable population of frail and elderly Californians. The settlement includes many of the services that community advocates and the Legislature wanted to preserve from the beginning of this disagreement. I look forward to working with Governor Brown and the community on the legislative implementation of the program. Thanks are due to the dedicated advocates and providers in my district and across California who fought so valiantly for the seniors they serve. This agreement would not have come together without their hard work and commitment.”
