DAVIS – Progress Ranch, which for nearly 50 years has provided high-quality mental health residential treatment for boys who have experienced trauma and abuse, ensuring they can heal and grow, has been named Yolo County Nonprofit of the Year for 2023 by Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa.

SACRAMENTO -- Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, issued the following statement today regarding Gov. Gavin Newsom’s revised budget proposal:

“Nobody likes a down budget but we can still make critical investments and progress in the year ahead,” said Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa. “It is clear education, housing and wildfire prevention remain priorities. I look forward to working with my Senate colleagues to help refine and pass a balanced budget that does the best we can with the resources we have available.”

MARTINEZ -- Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa has fought food insecurity for nearly 40 years, serving more than five million free, hot and nutritious meals and groceries to those in need. In recognition of their community contribution, they have been named Nonprofit of the Year for Contra Costa County by Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa.

SACRAMENTO – The state Senate has approved legislation from Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, that would improve broadband and internet connectivity across California by allowing the state to lease its property to providers for deployment of new infrastructure.
