Sen. Dodd Statement on Death of Davis Police Officer

DAVIS – Senator Bill Dodd issued the following statement today regarding the tragic death of Davis Police Department Officer Natalie Corona:

“I’m heartbroken over the death of Officer Natalie Corona. She was tragically killed in the line of duty while serving and protecting our community. My deepest condolences go to Officer Corona’s family, loved ones and fellow officers.”

Officer Corona was shot and killed while responding to a traffic accident in Davis on Thursday night. Officer Corona, 22, started as a police officer for the Davis Police Department in 2018 and previously served the city as a community service officer, beginning her service in 2016.
