SACRAMENTO – Legislation advanced today from Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, that would create a blueprint for accelerating broadband deployment, including expanded wireless access, in an effort to improve connectivity for all Californians, especially low-income people and the underserved.

SACRAMENTO – Two bills from Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, which would improve the lives of the state’s most vulnerable including seniors, the disabled and homeless people by increasing access to medication, treatment and specialized equipment, cleared a key hurdle today.

SONOMA – Sens. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, and Mike McGuire, D-Healdsburg, along with Sonoma County Supervisor Susan Gorin, released the following joint statement regarding the Sonoma Developmental Center property:

“The Sonoma Developmental Center is truly a special place. This is why so many have worked so hard to protect and preserve the cherished open space and wildlands.

SACRAMENTO – Gov. Gavin Newsom today signed legislation from Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, to extend the gaming compacts of 29 California tribes, allowing the continued operation of casinos that support tribal development and provide jobs for thousands of workers statewide.

“I thank Gov. Newsom for signing this today,” Sen. Dodd said. “This extension allows tribes to continue along the path toward self-sufficiency and economic development. Also, it gives the state more time to negotiate long-term agreements that will benefit the state, employees and patrons.”
