SACRAMENTO – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, issued the following statement today on an announcement from Pacific Gas and Electric Corp. that a majority of its governing board would be leaving at the next annual shareholders’ meeting on May 21:

“While the change in the board is welcome, it’s still taken way too long,” said Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa. “And it doesn’t make sense to wait another day on these changes with another fire season on the horizon. Time will tell if this new leadership instills the badly needed culture of safety at PG&E.”

SACRAMENTO – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, introduced legislation today that would enhance conservation on California’s more than 76,000 farms and ranches by offering incentives and technical assistance for adopting practices that help wildlife and the environment.

SACRAMENTO – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, introduced legislation today that will allow the long-sought Napa Pipe mixed-use development to proceed, bringing much-needed low-income housing to address the regional housing crisis.

“Napa desperately needs affordable and market-rate housing to help address our workforce needs and reduce commute traffic,” Sen. Dodd said. “This bill will allow the city and county to work together to get critically needed housing built.”
