Statement on Averting CSU Strike

Tuesday, April 5, 2016

SACRAMENTO, CA – Assemblymember Bill Dodd (D-Napa) released the following statement regarding the factfinder’s report regarding CSU faculty labor dispute with the CSU:

“As a proud graduate of the California State University and the representative of a CSU campus, advocating for an affordable, world class public university system is a top priority for me. I know first-hand that faculty play a crucial role in the success of our students, and we need to be able to recruit and retain our dedicated educators. I stand with our students and faculty in pushing to invest in quality education and fair compensation. Our CSU faculty deserve fair compensation, and the independent factfinder’s report confirms that it’s the right thing to do. I hope that the CSU will heed the factfinders recommendations and avert a strike.”

Assemblymember Bill Dodd represents the 4th Assembly District, which includes all or portions of Solano, Napa, Sonoma, Yolo, Lake, and Colusa Counties.
