Solano Parks District bill passes state legislature

The State Legislature passed legislation by Senator Bill Dodd, D-Solano, that aims to preserve land and expand recreational opportunities in Solano County.

The bill, co-authored by Assemblymen Tim Grayson, D-Concord, and Jim Frazier, D-Solano, authorizes the formation of a regional park district in Solano County.

“I want to thank my colleagues on both sides of the aisle for supporting this bill to help protect lands in Solano County,” Dodd said. “Parks help us preserve the beauty of California for future generations, while also benefiting our health and economy. I commend the Solano County Board of Supervisors for recognizing the value of creating a park district to preserve land and enhance recreational opportunities.”
