Sen. Dodd Issues Statement on Passing of Dianne Feinstein

Friday, September 29, 2023

NAPA – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, released the following statement today on the death of U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein:

“Dianne Feinstein broke barriers for women everywhere while leading our state in the U.S. Senate for more than three decades,” Sen. Dodd said. “I had the good fortune to know her and work with her going back to my time as a Napa County supervisor in the early 2000s. She had an incredible grasp of every detail of our transformational flood control project and was instrumental in securing federal dollars. Her achievements on domestic and foreign policy as well as gun control and abortion rights are simply unmatched. She championed work on the environment and healthcare. In her remarkable tenure she compiled an impressive record that improved life for all Californians. Clearly, she leaves a great void and will be sorely missed.”
