Sen. Dodd Welcomes Athletics Baseball Team to West Sacramento

SACRAMENTO – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, issued the following statement today on the announcement that the Oakland A’s baseball team will move to Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento for the 2025-27 seasons, ahead of an expected move to Las Vegas.

“You’re not dreaming, you heard it right – Major League Baseball is coming to Yolo County,” Sen. Dodd said. “Seriously, it’s a grand slam for baseball lovers across the region. I think the A’s will discover an incredible fan base and won’t ever want to leave. Who needs Las Vegas?”

Sen. Dodd represents the City of West Sacramento in the California State Senate.
