SACRAMENTO – Legislation advanced today from Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, that would expand provisions of his Water Shutoff Protection Act, ensuring more low-income Californians have uninterrupted access to essential drinking water, especially in times of skyrocketing costs.

SONOMA – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, will host a virtual town hall March 21 on the rapid emergence of artificial intelligence, with a panel of experts discussing its implications for privacy and consumer protection and what policy guardrails might be needed.

NAPA – Linda Cantey, a Napa Valley aerospace engineer and community leader who has devoted years of volunteer service to advancing essential initiatives such as wildfire prevention, land conservation and supporting disadvantaged students, has been named 2023 Woman of the Year for Senate District 3 by Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa.

DAVIS – Joy Cohan, who has demonstrated leadership in addressing food insecurity and senior nutrition in roles with the Yolo Food Bank and most recently, as executive director of Meals on Wheels Yolo County, has been named Yolo County Woman of the Year by Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa.
