Bill Dodd, D-Napa, released the following statement today regarding California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara’s announcement that he would explore the use of catastrophic modeling to set property insurance rates and stabilize the insurance market, ensuring access and affordability:

SACRAMENTO – Legislation advanced today from Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, that would extend the ability of the state Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into agreements with nonprofits to help operate and maintain park facilities, improving parks and saving money.
