At the Capitol, we have passed a balanced budget that funds essential services such as education and wildfire safety while addressing our revenue shortfall. My own bills are advancing with a number already signed by the governor.

SOLANO COUNTY – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, made the following statement regarding the announcement today that the California Forever megacity proposed by tech billionaires on 17,500 acres in rural Solano County is on now on hold. “The proponents of this ill-conceived development thought they were going to flash their cash and run over our community like a bunch of bumpkins, but instead they ran face-first into a brick wall,” said Senator Bill Dodd.

SACRAMENTO – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, today announced Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed his legislation to help California prevent and prepare for wildfires by improving operations of the State Board of Fire Services, the advisory panel to the California State Fire Marshal.

NAPA – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, issued the following statement today regarding Saturday’s shooting of former President Donald Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania:
“Political violence is repugnant and cannot be tolerated,” Sen. Dodd said. “It goes against everything we stand for. Everyone has a right to be heard, and we must ensure the safety of all candidates and elected officials.”
