I hope you and your family are having a safe and enjoyable summer.
In the Capitol, we passed a state budget that invests in the things you value most - education, wildfire safety and pandemic relief. I voted to issue economic stimulus checks to people earning less than $75,000 and grants for small businesses recovering from the shutdown. Additionally, I secured $15 million for local wildfire protection in the North Bay. Read about the budget here.
My office will continue to host virtual town hall meetings to keep you informed and get your input. Our next town hall is Aug. 16 and will address wildfire and emergency preparedness.
