Sen. Dodd: Vaccine Expansion Will Accelerate Pandemic Control

Thursday, March 25, 2021

SACRAMENTO – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa issued the following statement today in response to Gov. Gavin Newsom’s announcement that an increase in supplies of coronavirus vaccine would allow expansion of vaccinations to people 50 and older on April 1 and 16 and up on April 15:

“We’ve been building our capacity in California to administer vaccines, but lack of supply has been a choke point,” Sen. Dodd said. “With the expansion of supply, we can accelerate our progress to protect Californians and control this deadly virus. Expanding vaccinations is an important step to getting our state and economy back on track. I applaud Gov. Newsom 's leadership during this public health crisis.”
