November 2019 District Report

A Message from Senator Bill Dodd

Dear Neighbor,

As families prepare to give thanks this week, our thoughts turn to neighbors across the state who have endured public safety power shutoffs to prevent wildfires. Our hearts go out to them as well as the first-responders who have risked everything to keep Californians safe.

I will take up a number of important issues in the upcoming legislative session. Improving utilities’ response to the wildfire threat and access to home insurance are two priorities. Others include making life better for seniors and mobile home park residents, while pursuing proposals on public safety, sports betting and mental health funding. Please let me know your ideas for legislation.

Meanwhile, I will continue to seek your input through town hall meetings in the district. My next is 6 p.m. tonight at the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Hall, where we will discuss utility power shutoffs and wildfire safety. And I’m holding a  Holiday Open House Dec. 18 in Vallejo. I encourage you to attend.

In this Issue:

As always, my office is available to help you with a state agency or answer any questions you might have. You can contact me by visiting my website.
