SACRAMENTO, CA – Assemblymember Bill Dodd’s (D-Napa) low-income water rate assistance bill passed the state legislature with bipartisan support. The bill, Assembly Bill 401, calls on the State Water Resources Control Board to create a plan for establishing the state’s first statewide water rate assistance program for low-income residents in California. The bill now heads to Governor Jerry Brown who has one month to sign the legislation.

SACRAMENTO, CA - Retired Air Force Colonel Edward Trautt, a Yolo County resident, was honored Wednesday in the state Capitol as the 2015 Veteran of the Year for the 4th Assembly District. Each year, the state Assembly honors one veteran from each of the state's Assembly Districts who has significantly contributed to their local communities, and served their country with honor and distinction.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Bill Dodd (D-Napa) and Senator Mike McGuire (D-Healdsburg) announced Thursday that the state legislature’s Budget Conference Committee included $1 million for Clear Lake in their approved state budget for 2015-16. Senator McGuire and Assemblymember Dodd have been collaborating since early this year to secure greater investment in environmental protection and restoration of Clear Lake.
