SACRAMENTO, CA – Every year during Holocaust Remembrance Week the state Assembly holds a special ceremony and recognizes a Holocaust survivor, liberator, or a child of a survivor from each Assembly district. This year, Napa resident Irving “Irv” Baum was selected to receive this recognition on behalf of the 4th Assembly District of California.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Bill Dodd’s resolution urging President Obama to create the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument passed the Senate on Monday and is on its way to the President’s desk. The establishment of the Berryessa Snow Mountain region as a national monument would help safeguard the area, enhance visitation, and provide an economic boost to the surrounding communities.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Bill Dodd voted Thursday to enact badly needed drought relief legislation. The package, which was unveiled last week by Governor Brown, Senate President pro Tem de León, and Assembly Speaker Atkins, passed with bipartisan support, and now goes to the Governor for his signature.

“The impacts of the drought have been felt especially hard in our District,” said Assemblymember Dodd. “Passing this emergency drought relief package was a critical move towards protecting our water supply, and consequently, our economic and environmental security.”

SACRAMENTO, CA – Assemblymember Bill Dodd (D-Napa) today introduced legislation requiring companies that do business with the state of California to provide the state with data on employee income by gender and race. With the introduction of Assembly Bill 1354, Assemblymember Dodd is taking an important step towards gender pay equity in California.
