Breast cancer is an epidemic that will affect 1 in 15 women in California. Senator Bill Dodd (D-Napa) reminds residents that early detection through screenings and mammograms can save lives.
The state legislature and Governor enacted Assembly Bill 49, which authorized a specialty license plate to raise awareness about early detection and fund California's Every Woman Counts Program to provides screenings, mammograms and other services to low-income women throughout the state.
