SACRAMENTO, CA – Governor Jerry Brown signed legislation jointly authored by Assemblymember Bill Dodd (D-Napa) and several other legislators to protect small business owners who operate franchises. The bill was supported by a coalition of franchise owners and employee advocacy groups who reached a historic compromise with the association representing the major corporate chains.

SACRAMENTO, CA – Assemblymember Bill Dodd’s (D-Napa) bill to provide low-income water rate assistance has been signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown. With the passage of Assembly Bill 401, the State Water Resources Control Board must now establish the framework for California’s first ever statewide water rate assistance program for low-income residents.

SACRAMENTO, CA – Assemblymember Bill Dodd’s (D-Napa) low-income water rate assistance bill passed the state legislature with bipartisan support. The bill, Assembly Bill 401, calls on the State Water Resources Control Board to create a plan for establishing the state’s first statewide water rate assistance program for low-income residents in California. The bill now heads to Governor Jerry Brown who has one month to sign the legislation.

SACRAMENTO, CA – Assemblymember Bill Dodd’s (D-Napa) bill establishing the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act of 2015, passed the state legislature on Monday with bipartisan support. The bill now heads to Governor Jerry Brown who has one month to sign the legislation.

Each year, the state Assembly honors one veteran from each of the state's Assembly Districts who has significantly contributed to their local communities, and served their country with honor and distinction.
