SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Bill Dodd (D-Napa) announced the introduction of Assembly Bill 401, which calls on the Department of Community Services and Development (CSD) to develop a plan for a statewide Low-Income Water Rate Assistance Program.

“The time has come to develop a comprehensive program to help relieve the financial burden on low-income households dealing with significant increases in the cost of water,” Assemblymember Bill Dodd said.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Bill Dodd (D-Napa) announced the introduction of new legislation that will help repair and revitalize Clear Lake, California’s largest natural body of fresh water. The bill, AB 367, would allocate $2.4 million for the purposes of restoring Clear Lake’s wetlands, maintaining its water quality, and preserving its ecosystem.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Bill Dodd (D-Napa) has been appointed Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Wine by Assembly Speaker Toni G. Atkins. The Select Committee on Wine is a bipartisan committee that examines the diverse issues affecting California’s wine industry.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Bill Dodd (D-Napa) introduced a resolution today petitioning President Obama to create the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument. The establishment of the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument would help safeguard the area that stretches from the shores of Lake Berryessa in Napa County to the flanks of Snow Mountain, and includes portions of Lake, Mendocino, Solano, and Yolo Counties.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Bill Dodd (D-Napa) was appointed by Assembly Speaker Toni G. Atkins to serve on five key committees for the 2015-16 Regular Session. Assemblymember Dodd will serve on the Agriculture Committee, Business and Professions Committee, Rules Committee, Transportation Committee, and the Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee.  Speaker Atkins also appointed Assemblymember Dodd to serve on the Joint Committee on Fairs, Allocation and Classification.

Wolk and Dodd partner to bring relief to earthquake impacted counties

SACRAMENTO -- Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) and Assemblymember Bill Dodd (D-Napa) jointly introduced legislation today to aid residents and businesses affected by the August 24, 2014 South Napa Earthquake. Senate Bill 35 extends excess disaster loss provisions to the losses sustained in Napa, Solano, and Sonoma Counties which will allow individual and corporate taxpayers to amend their previous year’s return to claim those losses and generate a refund in the current year.

(SACRAMENTO) – Bill Dodd (D-Napa) was sworn in as the Assemblymember for California’s 4th Assembly District today.

“It will be an honor to serve the residents of the 4th Assembly District,” said Dodd. “I believe that my 14-year experience [as a member of the Napa County Board of Supervisors] gives me the ability to work with others in the state legislature.”

The 4th Assembly District includes all or portions of Napa, Yolo, Lake, Sonoma, Solano and Colusa Counties.
