“Nobody likes a down budget but we can still make critical investments and progress in the year ahead,” said Sen. I look forward to working with my Senate colleagues to help refine and pass a balanced budget that does the best we can with the resources we have available.”

MARTINEZ -- Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa has fought food insecurity for nearly 40 years, serving more than five million free, hot and nutritious meals and groceries to those in need. In recognition of their community contribution, they have been named Nonprofit of the Year for Contra Costa County by Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa.

SACRAMENTO – The state Senate has approved legislation from Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, that would improve broadband and internet connectivity across California by allowing the state to lease its property to providers for deployment of new infrastructure.

SACRAMENTO – The Senate has unanimously approved legislation from Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, that would allow the city of Davis to help create endangered species preserves and support climate mitigation projects.

“This approval is a big step toward preserving endangered species and our precious environment,” Sen. Dodd said. “It is a smart use of public land, in keeping with the wishes of Davis voters, to protect and enhance our community for generations to come.”
